Homemade Protein Bars

This is very easy recipe to make protein bars at home. I love homemade cooking and baking as I can control every single ingredients. Many protein bars bought in the store have a specific artificial flavour which I don’t like. Usually they contain some hidden carbs so-called sugar alcohol which is not listed under carbs but contributes to the amount of calories. What’s why I prefer homemade protein bars.

  • 100 g rolled oats
  • 100 g organic peanut butter
  • 200 g whey protein
  • 20 g honey
  • 150 ml skimmed milk
  • 30 g raisins (optional)

  1. Mix the dry ingredients together, melt the peanut butter with milk and honey in the microwave for a minute and mix with the dry ingredients.
  2. Roll the dough into a ball. Place it in a lined baking tray or pan of about 20 cm x 20 cm.
  3. Flatten the dough evenly and let it set in the fridge for 2 to 3 hours. Cut into 10 bars.
